On this special day, Celebrity Resort shares a Republic Day wishes and how we got it:

India had a rich history and there was a time it was known as the Golden Bird. Presently the world’s largest democracy (self government) with the longest written constitution, India, has been a free and independent nation only since 1947. India achieved independence from British Raj on 15 August 1947; the following day is an India independence movement started. Our freedom was taken away from us by british govt, but because of the bravery struggles of our freedom fighters like Abdul gafar khan, Ashfaqulla khan, Bal gangadhar tilak, Begum hazrat mahal, Bipin chandra pal, Chandra shekhar azad, Chittaranjan das, Dadabhai naoroji, Jawaharlal nehru, Khudiram bose, Lakshmi sahgal, Lala hardayal, Lala lajpat rai, Mahadev govind ranade, Mahatma gandhi, Mangal pandey, maulana abul kalam azad, motilal nehru, Ram manohar lohia, ram prasad bismil, ram singh kuka, Rani lakshmi bai, Rash behari bose, sardar vallabh bhai patel, Shaheed bhagat singh, shivaram rajguru, Subhash chandra bose etc.

Today, there are only a number of freedom fighters whom we remember and they are people who actually changed the course of history because of their benefaction finally we got it back on 26 January 1950. We always cherish your independence. Today we have a chance to pay a tribute of our greatest freedom fighters of Indian History and  to them by remembering them today. Happy Republic Day!
